Do your research. Provide all necessary information. See for more information.Related Subreddits.Related Websites. (NSFW). I’m starting a new mage playthrough soon and really wanted something other than the same old boring College of Winterhold robes to wear around Skyrim.
My journey into the depths of Nexus yielded a fine list of nice looking clothing options ranging from the practical to the frivolous. So I thought to myself, “Why not share?” Consider it a late Yuletide present for those of you who like to play a bit of dress-up with your Skyrim ladies.Let me get this out of the way: While some of these outfits may have a bit of cleavage, bare shoulders, tight pants, a bit of thigh, etc., you’re going to be disappointed if you’re looking for really sexy stuff. That’s not the way I play Skyrim. If you’re looking for “modest” coverage to 'a bit skimpy', though, I think you’ll be pretty happy with the time I’ve saved you wading through all the body replacer clothing and fetish gear. I ventured into the Models and Textures section on Nexus for a few of the retextures on this list and.I’ve seen some shit.
That which has been seen cannot be unseen. You may be wondering why this list only includes clothing for vanilla and UNP body types.
The answer is that I was looking for clothing for my own use, and I’m perfectly happy with the vanilla female body. People who use a body replacer can easily type in Caliente, CBBE, Dreamgirl, or whatever and get results.
Sadly, there is no such option for people who just want a list of vanilla clothes, and that’s why I created this list.I’ve opted to include some of the less revealing UNP outfits, as well, as the body types are similar enough that a lot of the non-skimpy UNP stuff works just fine on vanilla bodies, and vice-versa. There’s always a possibility that a mod used on one and meant for the other will have some clipping or odd meshes on your particular character, particularly around the neck and chest area.
But I’d rather give you more options to check out than dismiss the UNP stuff out of hand because there might be an issue. A good rule of thumb is that if there’s bare cleavage/shoulders showing, you may want to wear something like a scarf, cloak, cape, or mantle that obscures the neck seam area. I’ve included a few mods that add such things to the bottom of the list, and I hope to eventually compile a separate lore-friendly list of accessories and equipment.A few other notes: When multiple versions of the same design existed, I gave preference to standalone and/or craftable versions when available. Where standalone versions weren’t available I’ve indicated additional required files for replacer-only designs. I’ve also omitted global NPC clothing replacers that I didn’t think worked well for the NPCs in question. For example: might be cute on a certain type of character, but I don’t think every wench in Skyrim would be serving drinks in an all-white minidress. Your mileage may vary.Although I had originally intended to include variants of the Nocturnal dress here, there are just too damn many of them.
Apparently modders have a thing for open-front dresses that defy several laws of physics. Anyway, if you’re interested in the metric asston of Nocturnal dress retextures out there, a simple Nexus search should yield the desired results. For similar reasons, I’ve also decided to forgo listing the various retextures for the Greybeard, Thalmor, and Archmage robes. There are too many options to narrow down for this list.Interested in some nice looking light armor options?
I have a list for that, too:As always, make sure to endorse the mods you like and offer polite feedback where appropriate.Let’s get on with it, shall we?. Clothing- standalone, hi-resLocated under the bridge at DragonsreachHow many people has this author put off from looking at this mod by putting the word hentai in the title? Or perhaps the real question is how many people were disappointed to find out that no tentacles were involved in the design of this sharp white blouse/black bodice dress combo? Truly this is a question for the ages. If you like the look of this dress, also check out the Grace Darkling Attire Pack below, which contains a cornucopia of standalone color variations on it.- standalone, high-resCraftable at the forge.Adds 1-piece outfit with a blousy tunic and knee-high tan boots or a charcoal-colored pants option so you can choose your own boots to wear. Blouse colors come in red, tan, white, and green.- replacer, hi-resCraftable at tanning rack. This is a lovely replacement retexture of the 4 dresses in the listed below (must install original mod).- standalone, low-resLocated across the river from Riverwood.
Vendor and free-to-take options available.A variety of new clothing to choose from, with the standouts being several vivid recolors of the Psijiic robes. You won’t like these if you’re running high-to-ultra graphics, but lower end graphics users may find a hidden gem or two.- standalone, high-resCraftable at tanning rack.Adds 4 Roman-inspired long or short dresses plus accessories. Colors are white, black, red, and blue. Optional files include several retexture variants for you to choose from.- standalone, hi-resPurchased from Victoria, a new vendor found in Dragonsreach.Adds a strapless corset dress with full or short skirt in 6 different colors and 2 textures, as well as a suit with similar variations for male characters. As the upper chest and shoulders are left bare, mind what I said earlier about wearing something to obscure the neck seams.- replacer, hi-resPurchased from Victoria, a new vendor found in Dragonsreach.A lovely replacement texture of the above mod.
(Must install original mod.)- replacer, low-resThis complete overhaul of the female version of Cicero’s outfit is a subtle nod to the AC genre, offering a light or dark version similar to the hooded peasant outfit. Works equally well as everyday clothing or for assassins who wish to blend in while stalking their prey.- replacer, low-resA simple but effective crimson retexture of the ugly yellowish peasant tunic.- standalone, low-resLocated in a chest outside of Dawnstar Sanctuary. This adds a longer and more “flowy” version of the Shrouded Robes to the game in cloth, light, and heavy armor. Includes hood, handwraps, and boots.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at the forge under various categories.Adds a total of 14 black outfits designed for mages to the game, 3 of which are cloth varieties.
Each outfit has hoods, boots, and gloves, and there are also 2 new circlets and a metal mask that can be worn with hoods. While these are generally just black recolors of existing outfits in the game, they're done very well, and having the matching black accessories are a nice addition.- standalone, high-resLocated in a sack outside of Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood. Crafted at the forge.Adds an elegant Asian-styled black wrap robe, boots, gloves, and hat. The options for females are the full robe or a skirt/bra combo. Simple, but nice looking.- standalone, hi-resLocated in containers, leveled lists, and craftable.Adds a large assortment of dark clothing in somber hues of black, brown, grey, tan, cream, and dark blue that include fine clothing, peasant clothing, travel robes, robed armor, and leather armor. The main file adds the clothing to a few NPCs here and there, especially NPCs added by mods.
There’s also an optional file to greatly increase how many NPCs have the new clothing. I recommend all of this mod author’s work.- replacer, low-resRetextures the red/black Black Hand Robe to a black/grey version without any of the Dark Brotherhood symbols. The new design is inspired, but only recommended for those using low-end graphics.- replacer, hi-resChoose 1 of several color options in this Shrouded Robes retexture, including red/black, red/brown, and beige.- standalone, hi-resLocated in chest in Helgen Keep.A very nice-looking greyish-black and silver robe inspired by the patterns of the ebony armor and based on the Thalmor robes.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at tanning rack under “Leather” category.A stunning outfit with a luxurious Middle-Eastern look inspired by the game Assassin’s Creed. Comes in several color combos and includes a scarf, gloves, boots, and optional hood with hair.
Would work equally well for a fancy mage, stylish Redguard, classy Khajiit, or an assassin out for a night in the town.- replacer, hi-resCrafted at tanning rack.Beautiful replacement textures for the mod in red, red/black, blue, and green. (Must install original mod.)- standalone, hi-resCrafted at tanning tack.Adds 4 jewel-toned dresses in red, red/blue, blue, and green, plus 3 filigree belts and 4 pairs of shoes.- standalone, hi-resPurchased at Riverwood Trader and Radiant Raiment in Solitude. This is a cute standalone knee-length blue or black version of the dress listed above.- Standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under “Leather” and “Misc.” categories.Adds blue, green, or red versions of the robes worn by the character Arc in FFVIII, as well as boots and gloves. A very attractive and serviceable jacket/pantsuit outfit.
Want more colors for this outfit? Check out (Must install original mod.)- standalone, hi-resLocated in a knapsack at the Skyforge in Whiterun. This is a clothing version of the Skaal armor from the Dragonborn DLC designed to keep you warm as you wander the frozen north.- standalone, hi-resPurchased at Radiant Raiment.Adds 3 new wedding dress color variations with matching flower garlands for your hair - black/purple, red/white, blue/white.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under “Leather” category. This is a nice brass-studded wrap tunic over black pants combo with knee-boots and gloves. It comes in 7 colors plus an optional red pyromancer retexture.- standalone, hi-resCrafted at tanning rack or available in chest in the test hall (“coc qasmoke”)Choose from 1 of 2 pretty dress styles that can be crafted in 35 richly saturated color variations.
Dress design based on the model listed above.- standalone, hi-resLocated in a chest in High Hrothgar, in leveled loot and merchant lists, and in qa smoke.Adds 2 different outfits: 1) the Elven Scout Armor, a short-sleeve light armor chain shirt over dark leggings in 8 color variants, and 2) The Diviner Robes, a retexture of the Cultist robe in muted forest shades of gold/brown/green. Standalone, variety of res optionsLocated in a small chest next to Warmaiden’s in Whiterun. This pack includes 3 outfits: Dawnguard (Light Armor), Vampire, and Witch (both Cloth), a few mix and match accessories, and at least 8 hoods with colorful hairs. There is an optional file to convert the Vampire and Witch outfits to Light Armor if you so desire. If you are not using HDT physics in your game you must download one of the optional barefoot files.
These omit the platform heel boots and eliminate the need for physics mods. Dawnguard is a brown leather halter top over chain trousers or stockings with leather bracers and a leather cape. Vampire is a blue/black corset over stockings or trousers with a crotch you’ll either find charming or awful. Witch is a black lingerie-looking adaption of hagraven clothes and is very skimpy, but the matching hood and bracers are terrific.- standalone, low-resLocated in a chest west of the trio of Guardian Stones near Riverwood. While most of this batch is so low-res that they likely won’t appeal to anyone, there are a few gems there for those running low-to-medium graphics games. Noble Dress - replacer, hi-resPurchased at Radiant Raiment. This pretty dress is based off of a dress worn by Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, and it is a replacer for the Radiant Raiment Fine Clothes and the outfit worn during the quest Diplomatic Immunity. Requires (for some weird reason) installation of aMidian’s Ebony Armor Retexture.I've been using this for a while (because it's absolutely gorgeous), and i can say that the aMidianBorn Ebony Armor retexture isn't actually required. It's more of a 'soft' requirement.
It's only 'required' to get the same type of sheen that the mod author intended. I learned this by uninstalling the retex after a while because i didn't like it.
Nothing bad happened to the dress. I couldn't really notice a difference, to be honest. Standalone, hi-resPurchased at Radiant RaimentThis is a dressy pantsuit based off the mining outfit design.
The tunic is black, with several color variations available for the sleeves - white, grey, red, green, lavender, light blue- standalone, hi-resPurchased at Radiant Raiment.Adds 6 beautiful dresses, 5 fans, and 5 pairs of shoes to the game. Colors are red, blue, green, black, white, and red skirt with white bodice. There are several different patterns to choose from.
Despite the name, this design looks nothing like the vanilla wedding dress. Edit: Tested in my game and the colors are quite dark with vanilla lighting. The red/black looks almost pure black.- standalone, high-resCraftable at tanning rack under “Elven” category.Adds a handful of dresses, capri pants, and trousers, plus shoes. Most of the shirts are rather modern looking, but the dark trousers are utilitarian and the pinkish-brown dress robe manages to be feminine, cute, and modest. The laced boots are cute, too, but you must install in order to utilize them.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under Misc. Category.Adds several sets of pretty dresses in a variety of vivid and pastel colors with optional darker variants.
The outfits are based on the barkeeper dress, maid dress, and merchant outfit.- standalone, low-resCraftable at forge under “Leather” section. Also purchasable and added to leveled lists.5 pastel recolors of the yellowish Belted Tunic dress - red, aqua, blue, brown, green.- standalone, hi-resLocated inside Mehrunes Dagon’s shrine or add to your inventory via console. This is a long black dress with a dragon or snake scale pattern and wickedly high winged collar with matching black gloves.
It’s very badass looking. The floor length of the dress obscures your character’s feet, which is a problem for some, but take a look and decide for yourself. Want it in crimson? Take a look (Must install original mod.)- standalone, hi-resLocated on the altar at the shrine of Azura.Nice black and silver recolor of the Mythic Dawn Robes.- standalone, hi-resCrafted at forge under “Imperial” category.Adds 9 vividly colored versions of the long monk-style robes to the game. These would be better if the author had taken the time to add some contrasting patterns to the borders, but if you want a simple jewel-toned robe and hood this mod delivers.- replacer, hi-resLocated in chest outside of Radian Raiment.
Might be hiding behind barrels added by other Solitude mods.Absolutely gorgeous new color/texture variants of urshi’s mod. Colors are a wide variety of light and dark options and have a velvety texture. (Must install original mod, but these dresses do not replace the original set).
Edit: Tested in my game and seriously, these are probably the most beautiful dresses on Nexus. Amazing rich jewel colors with velvety textures and gold or silver trim.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at the forge under the “Steel” category.Adds a shiny tight black bodysuit with leather corset inspired by the character Selene from the movie, Underworld. Not what I’d call lore-friendly, but who thought that the vanilla Dark Brotherhood spandex bodysuit was a good idea, either? If you want to be a dark avenger or simply want to stab people in the back in style, this piece has you covered (in skintight patent leather).- standalone, hi-resAdded to leveled lists of non-noble NPCs.Adds more color and pattern variations to the peasant clothing worn by Skyrim citizens. The new colors are very lore-friendly, as the author has made an attempt to keep the clothing is line with the vanilla styles and colors.
Strongly suggest that you use the with this mod.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at the forge under the “Leather” category. Must acquire craft book from Anise’s Cabin. Not gonna lie, this one is pretty skimpy. That said, it’s nice to see necromancer-themed attire that’s not covered with skull decals. This one is a dark cable-knit and chain open front jacket over knit/chain thigh leggings and ripped fishnet tights with a knit scarf. It comes with some useful enchantments for conjurors, as well.- standalone, hi-resPurchased from Windhelm blacksmith.Adds 6 different blue robes to the game for mages allied with the Stormcloaks. As with this author’s Imperial robe set, some are better than others.- standalone, hi-resLocated in a chest in Faendal’s house.Adds 8 new robes based on the Mythic Dawn robes. Colors include several brown, beige, and tan varieties, black, grey, green, and purple.- replacer, hi-resObtained your own set via console. There are many retextures of the NPC wench dress, but I thought that this version was particularly nice.
Choose from aqua-blue, black, or deep red recolor options and original or short skirt lengths.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under “Elven” category.A retextured Thalmor robe that aims to look more scary and intimidating and delivers just that. The masked hood is a nice touch.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at the forge under the 'Misc' category. Now this is just beautiful.
It's a regal long red and gold halter dress with subtle stripes on the skirt, a high lace collar, and matching sleeves. Optional files include black and crimson/black retextures, as well as no-collar, no hip plates versions.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under “Imperial” category. From the author that brought you Common Clothes, this mod adds a handful of darker colored robes and armors that are a mashup of several vanilla clothing styles.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at the forge under various categories.A gorgeous set of dress robes and masks available as clothing, light, or heavy armor, as well as carved masks in gold, silver, ebony, and bronze.
Robes come in variety of colors - red, blue, black, white, and possibly other variants (pictures unclear). Want more colors? Of course you do. Check out for black/blue, black/grey, and black/red. And for burgundy and a darker black/grey.
(Must install original mod.)- replacer, low-resA purple/black retexture of the female version of Cicero’s jester costume. Not recommended for high-res graphics users. Standalone, hi-resCraftable at tanning rack.Adds 6 velvet robes and 7 velvet cloaks. The robes are adapted from the Mythic Dawn Robes and are simply gorgeous, with loads of intricate embroidery. The cloaks are much the same and have been adapted from the Cloaks of Skyrim mod. Edit: Tested in my game and these are quite pretty.
The robes were a bit bulky on my Breton female, but they're perfect if you want pretty robes that actually look warm. The cloaks are stunning and would look great with a variety of attire.- standalone, hi-resLocated in a chest behind the College of Winterhold. Check nearby knapsack first for more details.Adds a mix and match assortment of mage-oriented clothing in subtle neutral colors. Include pants, leggings, skirt, bodice, and corsets with tasteful magic school insignia. Craftable version of all the outfits found.- standalone, low-resLocated near the entrance to High Hrothgar.Simply an all-white set of robes and a hood for those who are in need of such things.
Nothing fancy.- replacer, hi-resPurchased at Radiant Rainment.Changes the wedding dress to an all-white version when worn by females. When worn by males it appears as a nice black/white “tuxedo” recolor of the fur-mantled male noble outfit.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under “Misc.” category.A delightful bunch of mix and match dresses, pantsuits, armors, and accessories.Triss Armor and Variants- standalone, hi-resCloth version is sold by Faralda from Mages College. Leather armor version is sold by Rustleif, the Blacksmith from Dawnstar.Beautiful and finely-detailed outfit based off the armor of Triss Merigold from The Witcher 2. I really like the colorful red and aqua accents on this.- replacer, hi-resRequires the original. This is a brown/charcoal/crimson recolor of the Triss outfit geared towards Dark Brotherhood members.- standalone, hi-resCraftable with required ingredients found at Riverwood Trader or Radiant Raiment in Solitude.Don’t let the title put you off; the author has specified that this works for vanilla bodies, too. Offers 8 very nice standalone mix and match color options for the Triss outfit, including the original design.Note: Authors claims this does not work with Mod Organizer because of the FOMOD.
If anyone has any thoughts on this please report back!Psiijic Robes Retextures/VariantsWhat I really like about the Psiijic Robes is that they’re one of the few jacket/pantsuit outfits that doesn’t magically transform into a skirt ensemble when worn by a woman. I’m looking at you, mage robes of Winterhold.- replacer, low-resAdd to inventory via console.Bluish-grey retexture of Psiijic Monk robes that adds a steel breastplate to the look, but retains clothing status. Has optional hood with jaw-guard. While I don’t care for the optional hood, the recolor is a nice adaption that looks more monastic and utilitarian than the vanilla Psiijic banana robes.- standalone, low-resPurchased from Enthir at College of WinterholdAdds an attractive crimson and royal blue retexture of the Psiijic Monk robes either with enchantments that match the Archmage Robes or as less expensive clothing you can enchant yourself.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge. This is a standalone craftable version of the mod by zackdip. It offers a handful of beautiful variants of the Psiijic Monk Robes in several colors and themes.- replacer, hi-resAdd to inventory via console.Choose from 1 of 3 recolors of the Psiijic Robes - grey, white, black.- replacer, low-resAdd to inventory via consoleChoose 1 of 2 recolors of the Psiijic Robes - black/crimson or midnight blue. The new colors are appealing, but the low-res textures make this an option best suited to players using low-end graphics.- standalone, hi-resAdd to inventory via console3 retextures of the Psiijic Robes that feature glowing rune designs - black, red, purple, and black with orange runes.Extensive NPC clothing overhauls- replacer, hi-resHuge retexture of almost all of the clothing in the game, from peasant rags to the Emperor’s robes.
The new designs are elegant and finely-detailed, with crisp lines and intricate patterns. In most cases the redesigns are a beautiful and, well, elaborate, improvement over the original vanilla textures. A few of the men’s outfits are perhaps a bit gaudier than most sons of Skyrim might be comfortable wearing, in my opinion. The men’s red “fine clothes” and the blue “apprentice mage robes” are a good example of this.
Overall, though, this is simply a stunning replacer mod that clearly involved a lot of time and effort. Does a smashing job of turning NPC clothing into something you’d actually consider picking up for yourself, too.- replacer, hi-resThis mod retextures most of the robes found in the game with more intricately designed HD versions.
The look of the new robes is similar to the Elaborate Textiles mod above, but in most cases just a bit more subtle, in my opinion.- standalone or replacer, hi-resIf using the standalone, robes can be purchased from a vendor in the Winterhold College courtyard. This mod retextures many of the mage robes to be vividly colored and elaborately embroidered. There have been several bugs noted with the replacer version of this mod, and I personally think many of the outfits are too saturated and gaudy, but it’s a popular mod and worthy of being included here. Check it out and judge for yourself.Cloaks and Scarves- standalone, hi-resCrafted at the forge under the Glass category, enchantable and upgradeable.Adds 8 beautiful translucent lacy cloaks and capes to the game, with several black, blue, and white options.- standalone, hi-resCraftable, added to leveled lists, and hand-placed uniques throughout Skyrim.Adds a large variety of burlap, hide, and linen cloaks and capes to the game in many different colors, as well as rare designs waiting to be discovered during your adventures. Hugely popular mod.- replacer, hi-resRequires the mod listed above. As the title says, this is an HD retexture of all of the cloaks from Cloaks of Skyrim.
Looks great overall, but I don’t agree with all of his redesign choices. For example: altering the cloaks with the Talos symbol to having a picture of the Talos statue on them instead - so tacky.- standalone, hi-resBase grey cape crafted at tanning rack. Dyes, dye lab, and dye remover located at Olaf’s shop in Falkreath.Allows you to craft a basic long grey hooded cape and dye it 1 of 45 different colors. You can use dye remover to bleach the cape and dye it a different color an unlimited amount of times.- standalone, low-resCraftable at tanning rack. Craft the guidebook first in order to access recipes for the items.Adds a number of scarves, fur capes, mantles, shawls, wraps, and other apparel for your shoulders and back. The items use vanilla assets separated from their original clothing/armor items and given color variation for you to mix and match.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at tanning rack in “Hide” category.
Also added to some leveled lists.Adds over 50 different scarves and mufflers to help you stay warm. Has a patch for Cloaks of Skyrim and is Frostfall-friendly, as well.- standalone, hi-resCraftable at forge under “Misc.” category.Adds a variety of warm and pretty neck scarves. These can be enchanted with necklace or body enchantments, depending on the length of the scarf.- standalone, hi-resCraftable and added to leveled lists. An immensely popular mod that adds wide variety of fur cloaks and hoods to the game.

Thanks.I have noticed this too, and even when I'm just organizing my inventory. If I move equipment around too fast I can get a CTD. Most of the time I can avoid it just by going a little slower. So i might just reinstall windows and games all together. Mistermaster wrote: oh well i followed the guide and did everything acording to it basically. I converted all plugins to the new form id and have no errors on loot or wyre bash, also loading everything in sseedit just works fine. Just that the stupid game neither starts using skse64 nor the default game launcher. It might be worth removing it for now, and then merging as many as you can first. You could merge them in groups, like your city mods, or followers together. Just make sure none of the mods you merge are masters for other mods. I prefer reducing the numbers of plugins this way.You could post your load order under a spoiler, or send it me in a private message. I never had anything like that (and I'm always use Frostfall + Campfire with fixed mmc). Nordic0cold wrote: I'll test it in my game soon. I've not done any heavy crafting since using the fix. Most of the time I can avoid it just by going a little slower. It's not gamebreaking but it is inconvenient. There's a new patch that uses the latest Frostfall sources from github, but it carries a warning about this very thing: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17925.

So i might just reinstall windows and games all together. Hello again! So I've installed all the mods I wanted and now my game runs perfectly but there's a strange visual glitch with one specific mod.' Legacy of the Dragonborn - BadGremlins Collection' has a strange issue on some trophy heads found on the dungeons, like the Argonian Trophy Head. Yeah, I know that mod is not on the guide, but I would be really grateful if anyone could help me.When I found the item in Bleakfalls Barrow the head textures were strange. Instead of the original textures there is a strange green glow over the original textures!
LOLWhen I examine that item in my inventory the textures look right but the issue reappears when I drop it to the ground.I heard that problem probably occurs because there's something wrong with the ENB, but I don't have any clues about what should I do to solve that visual glitch.I have Mythical Weathers and NVT ENB installed and I wouldn't like to change that setup. Can anyone help me?If there's no solution to that, would anyone please suggest me any similar setup? Thanks in advance!Edit: I've tried Mythical ENB and that worked fine without those strange issues but I really like NVT and I wouldn't like to change.Edit 2: Well it seems nobody can help me here, so I'll keep Mythical ENB installed.Edited by denba666, 19 June 2018 - 10:37 PM.
